GCTP Meeting This Tuesday, February 28: Supporting Schools, Parents and Districts

Share

Brendan Shea, our State Board of Education Representative for District 10, Ohio, will discuss his “Resolution to Support Parents, Schools, and Districts in Rejecting Harmful, Coercive, and Burdensome Gender Identity Policies”, which was passed by the State School Board in December 2022. He’ll also give us his take on the recent attempt to strip the State School Board of its powers and transfer them to a cabinet official in the Governor’s office.

Remember what Ronald Reagan said, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.” No truer words have been said when it comes to education. If we lose the education system, we lose our kids, our freedoms, and our country.
We cannot afford to lose! All of us must be equipped to “fight and win.”

Where: Xenia Community Center, 1265 W. Second Street, Xenia
Time: 6:30 pm Social, 7:00 pm Program.

Brendan Shea was elected to the State Board of Education by the people of the 10th District (which includes Greene County) in November 2020. He is eligible for reelection in 2024.

Hailing from a large family of educators, Brendan believes deeply in the life-changing power of education. He believes education should focus on the good, the true and the beautiful and that children must learn to think critically and develop wisdom and virtue, allowing them to achieve their God-given potential and to become engaged citizens and productive members of society.
The father of five young children, he knows the unique challenges families face in raising and educating children today. He believes parents are the first and primary educators of their children and is a strong voice on the Board for both parents and children.

This educational event is sponsored by Greene County TEA Party, PO Box 123, Xenia, OH 45385. You can learn more at greenecountyteaparty.org or email us at gcohtp@mail.com.
