Tight Ohio Republican Senate Race to be Decided in Tuesday’s Primary Election

Share

A new poll by Emerson College shows a very tight race in the Republican Senate race, with the top two candidates being very nearly tied, having J.D. Vance at 24% and Josh Mandel at 22%. Behind those candidates is Matt Dolan at 18% and Mike Gibbons at 14%. Vance was lifted to his current popularity by his endorsement by Donald Trump (in spite of Vance’s earlier strong rejection of Donald Trump), but many Ohio conservatives (including Tea Party leader Tom Zawistowski) question the strength of Vance’s commitment to conservative values. (There is not expected to be a close contest in the Democratic Senate race.)

Regardless of your views, we strongly encourage you to make your vote count in this important election!
