Important GCTP Meeting; Tuesday, July 27, 2021: “Critical Race Theory; The Oppressor and the Oppressed”

Share

Brendan Shea, our State Board of Education Representative for District 10, Ohio, will present the harmful and dangerous ideologies being pushed by the State Board of Education. More importantly, come and learn how to equip yourself as concerned parents and citizens to fight back at our local schools and districts.

Remember what Ronald Reagan said, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.” No truer words have been said when it comes to education. If we lose the education system, we lose our kids, our freedoms, and our country. This is a crisis, and now the NEA, the most powerful teachers union has endorsed CRT.

We cannot afford to lose! All of us must be equipped to “fight and win.”

Brendan was elected to the State Board of Education by the people of the 10th District in November 2020. The 10th District includes Adams, Brown, Clark, Clermont, Clinton, Fayette, Gallia, Greene, Highland, Jackson, Lawrence, Madison, Pike, Ross, Scioto and the western portions of Pickaway and Vinton counties. He is eligible for reelection in 2024.

Hailing from a large family of educators, Brendan believes deeply in the life-changing power of education. He believes education should focus on the good, the true and the beautiful and that children must learn to think critically and develop wisdom and virtue, allowing them to achieve their God-given potential and to become engaged citizens and productive members of society.

The father of five young children, he knows the unique challenges families face in raising and educating children today. He believes parents are the first and primary educators of their children and is a strong voice on the Board for both parents and children.
